The reading challenge
You’ve rolled the dice and moved your romancepoly playing piece and have found yourself lurking in Fang Alley. For this reading challenge we have two choices:
Opening the coffin on vampire romance
Whether your vampire needs to sleep in a coffin or a regal four poster bed with red silk sheets I know one thing: I can’t resist a vampire hero or heroine. Although…I do prefer the bed. These darkly seductive characters are mesmerising and seem to pull out all of our most deeply buried and kinkiest desires. There seems to be a long history of vampires being the broody anti-hero and the person you know is bad for you…yet you can’t resist them.
There is such a breadth of literature with vampire characters, and although paranormal romance is certainly a favourite here, vampires are also liberally scattered through the horror, fantasy and classic fiction genres. The Fang Alley challenge can go in a lot of different directions. The vampire main character could range from an evil irredeemable monster to sexy broody hero who just needs some lovin’ to unlock their dead heart. The choice is yours!

What I’m reading…

I love a vampire romance book, they were some of the first paranormal romance books I ever read way back in the day. So, when I landed on Fang Alley, I was pretty excited. It’s been ages since I’ve read anything vampy. And, now I am even more excited having chosen A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. Although it’s not quite a paranormal romance, it is a book that has been on my TBR for a long time.
It also has a TV show based on that I’ve held off watching as I didn’t want to spoil the books. So, now I have a double whammy ahead of me: the book and then the TV show. Both of which I have been told are excellent. Right guys, I’m off, I need to stock up on snacks for my All Souls marathon!
Pin it for later!
