Happy Sunday! How are you spending the day?

It’s raining today, so it’s probably going to be a lazy day. Just finished a yummy brunch and had a zoom chat earlier today. Now to just listen to the storm and maybe read a book. Or nap. Maybe nap. I blame the mosquito that kept me awake ALL NIGHT buzzing in my ear and biting the crap out of me.

Happy April! The day just got away from me yesterday but I got a lot accomplished (just not here on social media). I've been thinking about YouTube lately and I know I promised you guys some content back in January, but things have just been too busy the past few months. As soon as it settles I'll get on it and create more content for you guys. But thanks for being patient with me while I'm not as consistent.⁣

I wanted to give you guys a glimpse into my TBR for April. I already read 2 of my ARCs (BOMSHELLS and LOVER UNVEILED) back in March, so it's the first time in a while that I'm starting the month feeling like I'm not drowning in commitments. Let's see how it goes.⁣

I'm a bit EXTRA, but you probably know that by now. I log all my reads (and most of the books I want to read as well) on GoodReads. I've also started using @the.storygraph and honestly so far I'm loving their platform. ⁣
.⁣
Then all the books I read and the books I own get added to spreadsheets I designed on AirTable which combines so many of the stats I like to keep track of. ⁣
.⁣
If that wasn't enough, I also keep everything written down in my reading journal, this year it's combined in my bullet journal. And my TBR is really detailed on Notion.⁣
.⁣
I may do a blog post about all these one day soon.⁣
.⁣
All that to say that after looking at the ARCs I have to read I'm feeling a bit behind and buried under books I need to catch up on and read. But instead of working on the old ones, I've decided to start working on April books. On that list is this adorable one that I'm so excited to read. This first line of the blurb got me.⁣

During this time, I have found that I have been craving some fun, light contemporary romances to lose myself in. After reading a ton of fantasy, I’ve read three romances in a row and I want to read them all! I love @j3nn_benn and know that her books will deliver the adorable contemporary romance I’ve been craving. I am so excited for her new book, Chasing Lucky, and love how the main character moves back to her home town with her mom to run the family bookstore. She ends up having a romance with the town’s “bad boy” who was her childhood best friend. This has all of the things I love and I cannot wait to read it! .

Do you read your favorite authors no matter what genre they write in? Wolfsong by @tjklunebooks is one of my favorite books of all time. When I saw The House in the Cerulean Sea was being released, I had to order a copy, even though I’ve only read TJ Klune’s paranormal romance. This is a whimsical YA fantasy and I cannot wait to see what TJ Klune can do in this genre! .
