Winter Term Orientation Packet – Class of 2026

Dear Reader,

Congratulations! You’ve been officially accepted to Romanceopoly University, an elite (and slightly enchanted) institution dedicated to the study of love in all its forms, from cozy small-town crushes to morally gray assassins with tragic pasts.

This is not your average academic experience. We don’t do tests. We don’t do essays. We do tropes. We do emotional spirals. We do reading spicy scenes at midnight and sending feral screenshots to the group chat.

Romanceopoly University exists just slightly out of phase with the real world, tucked between the pages of your favorite comfort read, or hiding behind a portal that only opens when your TBR hits triple digits. However you found your way here, you belong.

Here’s what you need to know:

Romanceopoly 2026 Curriculum

To earn your Romanceopoly Degree in 2026, you’ll need to complete 20 prompts (a.k.a. “credits”) during the 2026 academic year (January – December 2026):

  • 5 Core Classes (required for all students)
  • 5 Major Classes (choose one field of romantic expertise)
  • 5 Minor Classes (choose one secondary field of expertise)
  • 5 Electives (your mood-reader heart will thank you, choose 5 prompts from the remaining majors in any order)

Feeling ambitious? You can also:

  • Join one of four themed Clubs (each with 4 optional prompts)
  • Participate in monthly Study Sessions (book club group reads + fun extras)

The Calendar

The year officially begins on January 1, 2026, with the start of Winter Term.

Instead of semesters, our campus runs on vibes and seasonal shifts. Throughout the year, you’ll find:

  • Monthly Study Sessions (book club picks + themed mini-challenges)
  • Optional Club Events (yes, you can join more than one… we see you, chaos goblin)
  • Progress Badges and Tracker Milestones (Dean’s List, Valedictorian, etc.)
  • Campus-wide announcements right here on our website

Graduation Goals

Finish your 20 main prompts and you’ll earn your Romanceopoly Degree with your major and minor.

Complete bonus paths to earn prestige:

  • = Dean’s List
  • = Valedictorian Status
  • Every. Single. Prompt. = You may be entitled to financial compensation (just kidding, but wow.)

The Vibes

This is a mood reader’s campus. You can bend the rules, DNF a course. You cannot double-dip a book across the main prompts, but you can use that book for any of the optional prompts. You don’t need permission, just passion (and maybe a little spice).
